Goa Launches ₹2 Crore ‘Skill-on-Wheels’ Initiative to Promote Industrial Safety in Rural Areas

In a significant step toward enhancing safety awareness across Goa, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has launched the ₹2 crore ‘Skill-on-Wheels’ program, aimed at delivering hands-on industrial safety training to rural communities. The initiative will also reach schools and colleges, equipping students with essential knowledge on safety protocols and preparedness.

The mobile training units under this program will focus on key areas such as industrial fire safety, electrical hazard management, disaster preparedness, and mental well-being. CM Sawant emphasized that the initiative is designed to bridge the gap in safety education outside urban centers and foster a safety-first mindset among youth and workers alike.
