Goa Police Seize Drugs Worth ₹75 Crore This Year, Vow to Intensify Crackdown

Goa Police have seized narcotics valued at ₹75 crore since the beginning of this year as part of an intensified campaign against the drug trade, Inspector General of Police Keshav Ram Chaurasia announced on Thursday.

Highlighting the scale of enforcement efforts, Chaurasia reaffirmed the department’s determination to make Goa a drug-free state.

“We are committed to dismantling drug networks and will continue strong action against those involved in trafficking and distribution,” he said.

Authorities have stepped up surveillance, raids, and coordination with national agencies to curb the inflow and sale of illegal substances in the state, which has long struggled with narcotics-related challenges linked to tourism and organized crime.
