Goa has witnessed a strong rise in crime and illegal activities, raising concerns among residents, authorities, and tourists alike. To address this, the Goa Police has created a comprehensive blueprint to tackle illegal activities and has already started working on it, especially in North Goa, which affect tourists and public order. SP Akshat Kaushal stated that the police will not tolerate touting (illegal agents harassing tourists) and are taking daily action against those involved, with the Tourist Police and North District Police working together.

Some major enforcement actions include:
Identifying around 1,000 suspicious individuals in both North and South Goa.
Registering 193 cases for drinking alcohol in public places.
Filing 545 cases for littering.
Registering 14 cases for driving vehicles on beaches.
Holding meetings with shack owners to ensure compliance with regulations.
This crackdown is part of a broader effort to improve tourist safety, curb harassment, and maintain cleanliness and order on Goa’s beaches and tourist hotspots. The authorities have also issued warnings to shack operators and are encouraging tourists and locals to report illegal activities, aiming to protect Goa’s reputation as a safe and premium travel destination.
