As per the information tabled on the Floor of the House, the revenue receipts of the State and revenue from the government of India to the State is Rs 1576.84 cr from April 1 to June 30, this year.
Parsekar said that the total receipts from all taxes administered by the commercial department which include Value Added Tax, entry tax, entertainment tax, CST and luxury tax is around Rs 701.70 cr.
The revenue collected on account of stamp duty in last two months is Rs 83.45cr, while the revenue earned by the public works department through entry tax is Rs 7.09cr, the Chief Minister said.
The question was tabled by Congress legislator Alexio Reginaldo Lourenco.
In reply to yet another question, Parsekar, also State Minister for Mines, said that government has not earned any revenue through mining in last two months except for Rs 40 cr earned through iron ore e-auction.
Earlier last week, Cheif Minister had informed the House that government has borrowed Rs 400 cr from market in last five months, with its annual borrowing limit fixed by the Union Ministry Finance is Rs 1,907cr. He had clarified that the State is borrowing within the limits. Parsekar had said that the total outstanding Debt is Rs 9936.03 cr and the other liabilities are Rs 4456.01cr as on March 31, 2015.
