Goa Shipyard Ltd (GSL) achieved a historic FY 2024-25, recording revenue of Rs 3,190 crore and production value of Rs 2,801 crore. The defence shipbuilder’s order book exceeded Rs 16,000 crore, with ongoing projects for the Indian Navy, Coast Guard, and overseas clients.
GSL is finalizing an Rs 18,000 crore Navy corvette contract, which could nearly double its order book to Rs 34,000 crore, securing revenue through FY 2031-32. Profit before tax reached Rs 379 crore, profit after tax Rs 288 crore, and EPS Rs 24.8. The board approved a final dividend of Re 1 per share, totaling Rs 7.7 for the year.
Operational achievements included launching LPG cylinder carriers, advanced frigates, offshore patrol vessels, pollution control vessels, and fast patrol vessels. Export orders, such as a floating dry dock and dredger for European clients, also progressed. Chairperson Brajesh Kumar Upadhyay called it the company’s “best-ever year” and anticipates continued growth driven by defence orders and selective commercial projects.
