Goa Tourism road shows get good response at Mumbai, Udaipur

The Goa@60-themed road shows are being held across six cities in India.

PANJIM: Goa Tourism got good response for the road shows titled Goa@60 by Goa Tourism Development Corporation on behalf of Department of Information and Publicity at TTF OTM at Jio Convention Centre, Mumbai and Udaipur.

Minister for Tourism, Government of Maharashtra Mangal Prabhat Lodha visited the Goa stall at TTF OTM.

Goan hoteliers and tour operators put up stalls at Goa Tourism stall for promoting Goa holiday packages. The delegation was represented by Dhiraj Vagle, Deputy Director, Department of Tourism. Pravinkumar Faldesai, Manager Marketing, GTDC and Sudat kambli, Information Assistant, Department of Tourism.

Meanwhile, the roadshow on behalf of the Department of Information and Publicity was inaugurated by Shikha Saxena, Deputy Director Tourism, Government of Rajasthan along with Kamlesh Sharma, Deputy. Director, DIPR, Government of Rajasthan at Celebration Mall, Udaipur, Rajasthan. 

Rajesh Kale, Deputy Director, Tourism Department, Goa; Deepak Narvekar, Deputy General Manager,  GTDC; Allwyn Pereira,  Information Officer,  Department of Information and Publicity,  Goa; Rodlin Mascarenhas, Assistant Director Tourism Department and Kiran Munankar, AIO, Department of Information and Publicity, Goa were present on the occasion.

While appreciating the Goa government for choosing Udaipur to have a roadshow, Saxena said, “Udaipur and Goa share similarities, as both are tourist destinations in their own ways. Such platforms are a healthy practice and should be encouraged as it provides an opportunity to exchange and know cultural programmes, bringing the varied rich cultural heritage to cross sections of the society.”

The Goa@60-themed road shows are being held across six cities in India. The first show was held in Ahmedabad recently and is planned to be held in the cities of Varanasi, Madurai, Thiruvananthapuram and Mysore shortly.
