The Vigilance Department has suspended Assistant Engineer (A.E.) Adrian J.R.A.L.B. Martins of the Electricity Department with immediate effect over allegations of misappropriation of funds.
According to the suspension order, disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against Martins. He has been directed to remain at the department’s headquarters in Panaji during the inquiry.

As per service rules, Martins will receive subsistence allowance during the suspension period.
The Vigilance Department said the action was taken following a preliminary review of the allegations, and further investigation is underway.
