PANJIM: With an aim to retain Goan youth in the State by providing employment and self employment opportunities, Global Network Institute (GNI) headquartered in Ahmedabad is ready to set foot on Goan soil. The first of its type, the International Trade Training School in Goa will commence with its first training programme in December 2019.
With the setting up of GNI, Goan students are most likely to get empowered by GNI’s training imparted through subjects like international market strategy, games on market research, selecting trade partners, online e-commerce exports, export pricing, FOREX, shipping procedure, and other practical sessions to establish Goan businesses and take them global.
With the success of Vibrant Expo series – a project started from the state of Gujarat, Global Network Institute is now looking for similar results in the State of Goa. Their goal is clear: ‘To empower youth, women, SME’s and corporates of Goa to help them explore global markets.”
The training imparted at their Centre will only add to international trade expertise-thereby increasing global trade success.
“This training programme is ideal for manufacturers, traders, professionals, family-owned businesses and students who can contribute in taking Goa’s business and industry to a different level,” says Dr Jagat Shah, the founder and managing director of Global Networks.
The Goan youth have been migrating to European countries and other parts of the country for better career prospects. By creating employment in the State it is possible to contribute to the State’s development.
Despite being a small State geographically, Goa has the potential of representing their work on an international domain. The training programme covers a wide breadth of international trade topics that will help students gain a competitive lead in the challenging and composite world of exports. While there is no age and education bar to gain entry into the course, knowledge of English is essential.
Shah goes on to say that Vibrant Goa will help to bring investment into the State and create exporters out of Goan companies. “It will create a wonderful opportunity for Goan companies, sitting at home to take their business and skills worldwide.”
