Goa’s Inflation Soars to 6.34%, Second-Highest in India

In July 2025, Goa was hit with a 6.34% rise in inflation, making it the second most affected state in India, just behind Kerala, where inflation reached 8.89%.

Recent Consumer Price Index (CPI) data reveals that Goa’s inflation rate is well above the national average, putting growing pressure on local households. While food prices have dropped nationwide by 1.8%, the prices of everyday essentials in Goa have been rising sharply, adding to the financial strain for both residents and businesses reliant on tourism.
