In a dazzling finale on April 18, 2026, at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, Sadhvi Satish Sail from Goa was crowned Femina Miss India World 2026, marking the 61st edition of India’s premier beauty pageant themed ‘Daughters of This Soil’. Crowned by predecessor Nikita Porwal of Madhya Pradesh, the academically accomplished winner, holding a double major in economics and international relations from a Canadian university and fluent in seven languages, will represent India at Miss World 2027.
Maharashtra’s Rajnandini Pawar, who clinched her state title in February after a rigorous selection from over 700 contestants, shone as first runner-up. Dr. Sree Advaita, a 24-year-old MBBS graduate from Chennai with Tamil-Telugu roots, raised in Jammu as an army officer’s daughter, and a Bharatanatyam dancer with over 600 performances, secured second runner-up. The event, hosted by Maniesh Paul and Sarah-Jane Dias with performances by Ishaan Khatter, featured 30 state representatives in a historic first for a university venue in eastern India.
Sail expressed feeling “very surreal” post-win, embodying grace and purpose. This triumph highlights regional pride, especially for Goa, as these women gear up for global stages.
