MARGAO: Two unknown persons, who came on a scooter, snatched away gold ornaments, including a mangalsutra, from a 52-year-old woman near one school at Gogol, Margao in broad daylight and escaped before any alert could be raised. According to Fatorda Police, the gold ornaments were estimated to be worth over Rs 1 lakh.

The police have registered an offence under Section 356, 379 read with 34 of IPC. Police said so far no arrest has been made.
