PANJIM: In a bid to expedite the administrative functioning, the State government has directed its departments to dispose of all the files, cases, proposals within a period of three working days.
A circular in this regard has been issued by the Administrative Reforms Department, who has also asked departments to opt for digital mode and reduce use of paper in day today functioning.
“All the departments shall, for speedy disposal of different types of files/cases/proposals/correspondence received by them and to expedite administrative work, are advised to adhere to guidelines in order to dispose all matters within stipulated time,” the circular stated.
It also said that there is a need to improve the functioning of the administrative system and to facilitate timely disposal and transparency in the system.
The circular asks officials to dispose of files, cases, proposals, and correspondence received by them within a period of three working days. It also said that the consultations and examinations at the department level are to be provided within a period of seven working days.
It has also directed departments not to use plastic bags or folders during official meetings.
