MAYEM: Stating that changes in education on par with the dynamic world had become the need of the hour, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar assured that future prospects of students would be taken into consideration.
Parrikar was recently speaking at the golden jubilee celebration of Progress High School at Sanquelim.
Parrikar also advised parents to teach basic principles to their children without depending on lessons imparted to them by teachers.
Pratapsingh Rane stressed the need to bring out novel developments in the field of education.
and called upon educational authorities to have a proper dialogue between teachers and parents. MLA Dr Pramod Sawant also spoke on the occasion.
Earlier, Dr Navnath Bhatikar welcomed the gathering and took review of the school achievements during last 25 years.
On the occasion, Manohar Kelkar, Gajanan Karpe, Sachit Kamat, Gurudatt Sanzgiti, Vasudev Sadekar and Dr Jayant Budkule were honoured by the guests for rendering meritorious services in the field of education.
Sanquelim Municipal Council Chairperson Narayan Relekar, Atmoddhar Sangh Gurudatt Sanzgiri President Dr Rajendra Sakhardande, Dr Navnath Bhatikar, Headmistress Maria D’Souza, PTA President Deelipkumar Sahastrabuddhe and Prof Niranjan Khichadi were present on the occasion.
