The Centre’s pollution watchdog on Tuesday revoked curbs under Stage-4 of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) in Delhi-NCR following an improvement in the capital’s air quality. In an official order, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) said that measures under Stages 1, 2 and 3 of the revised GRAP would continue to remain in force. The commission noted that although air quality had shown improvement, caution was still necessary due to the ongoing winter season. CAQM urged citizens to strictly follow the citizen charter prescribed under GRAP Stages 1 to 3 to prevent pollution levels from worsening again. Authorities stressed that unfavourable weather conditions could still impact air quality in the coming days.
