PANJIM: The Goa University has directed all its affiliated colleges to refund the entire fees to students, who cancel their admissions or migrate, to a different institute on or before October 31.
In a circular issued following directions from the University Grants Commission (UGC), the Goa University has directed refund of fees for students, who sought admission in the academic year 2022-23 as a special case.
The entire fee, including all charges should be refunded to those who cancel admissions/migrate by October 31 and after that, till December 31, the entire fee should be refunded after deducting a cancellation fee of up to Rs 1,000 as processing fee.
The students are directed to make necessary applications with bank details to refund the fees.
The UGC had said that several entrance examinations including CUET, JEE Main, JEE Advance etc. have been delayed, due to which the admissions may continue up to October, 2022.
“In view of the above, and in order to avoid financial hardships being faced by parents, it has been decided by the UGC that full refund of fees should be made…,” it stated.
