VASCO: Gudi Padwa, Hindu New Year, was celebrated in Vasco by offering prayers and annual religious rituals by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for COVID-19.
Vasco based Hindu Nava Varsha Swagat Samiti took part in the Gudi Padwa celebration in Port Town on Tuesday. The Hindu Nava Varsha Swagat Samiti organised its annual religious rituals of having five Pradakshina to Lord Damodar Temple in Vasco and offered Shriphal (Auspicious Coconut) on account of Gudi Padwa, a Hindu New Year in Vasco.

Nitin Faldessai, a member of Swagat Committee, said that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, since last year the celebration of Gudi Padwa is held in low key without much public participation.
