Gunmen Attack at Jerusalem Bus Stop Leaves Three Dead

In a tragic incident on the outskirts of Jerusalem, two gunmen opened fire at a bus stop, resulting in three fatalities and numerous injuries. Israeli police reported that the attackers, armed with an M16 and a pistol, targeted civilians at the station before being neutralized by security forces and a nearby civilian.

Security camera footage broadcast by Israel’s Channel 12 revealed the harrowing moments of the attack, showing the gunmen exiting a white car and firing upon a crowded bus stop. Emergency services evacuated the wounded, with eight of the more seriously injured transported to nearby hospitals.

The assailants, residents of East Jerusalem, were found to have ammunition and weapons in their car. Among the victims was a 24-year-old woman, and a 73-year-old man in critical condition succumbed to his injuries at Shaare Zedek Medical Center. Another individual also lost their life due to the attack.

This tragic event occurred concurrently with the extension of the truce between Israel and Hamas for a seventh day. Israel’s military stated that the temporary halt in fighting in the Gaza Strip will persist, considering ongoing mediation efforts to release hostages and in accordance with the agreement’s terms.
