Hearing of the Margao bomb blast trial was adjourned by the South Goa Sessions court on Tuesday.
When the case came up for hearing this morning, the defense counsel was conspicuous by this absence. Sessions Judge U V Bakre later adjourned the case to January 6.
The Sessions court was scheduled to hear arguments by the defense lawyer on framing of charges against the two accused persons Prashant Ashtekar and Prashant Juvekar in the bomb blast case.
The Prosecution has completed its arguments on the question of framing charges against the two accused, wherein special public prosecutor S B Faria called for framing charges under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, Explosives Substances Act, Criminal conspiracy and for waging a war against the state.
The Court was also scheduled to hear the bail application of one of the accused on grounds that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) had failed to file the chargesheet within 90 days of their detention by the investigating agency.
