MARGAO: PWD Minister Deepak Pauskar has informed that the highway passing through Goa will have at least four toll booths from Polem to Patradevi after the entire National Highway works of Goa are completed by 2022.
Pauskar said that after completion of the entire highway work, the work of having toll booths will simultaneously be completed. “Toll booths will be constructed at every 30 km interval which will be at Patradevi, Bambolim, Polem and also in Molem,” he said.
He also said that the toll booths will be under the Central Ministry for Roads and the collection of toll will be tendered to agencies.
“Since the toll is a Central subject, it depends on the Central Ministry whether Goans are excluded from paying tolls,” the minister said.
