An amount of Rs 20 lakh was also ordered to be deposited.
The Mamlatdar issued the notice following Hoble’s request to keep the NGT order in abeyance till the disposal of a review application filed with the Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA).
In the notice, the mamlatadar said that the GCZMA had informed that “there is no order of stay/status quo granted by any court/NGT thereby staying the directions of the NGT contained in the judgement dated 29/05/2015 passed in application no. 51/2014. Hence, your reply seeking an order to keep the demand notice in abeyance till disposal of review application and/or any other proceeding that may be filed till the order at NGT attains finality, is hereby rejected.”
Hoble was also directed to pay Rs 20 lakh, along with Rs 5,000 as litigation costs, within 48 hours of the receiving of the letter.
