MARGAO: The Directorate of Municipal Administration has issued historic transfer orders of several Municipal Engineers of Margao and some more Municipal Councils around Goa. The DMA issued the order on October 25.
In it order the DMA has transferred Manoj Arsekar, Municipal Engineer (ME) Grade-I Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) to Margao Municipal Council (MMC) and transferred out ME Surendra Gaonkar of MMC Margao to Mormugao. In addition to the 4 grade II and another 9 Grade III Municipal Engineers have been transferred out from various Councils like Pernem, Bicholim, Sanguem, Cuncolim, Panjim, Canacona and Margao to other councils around Goa.
The engineers have been asked to resume duty with immediate effect. These transfers, as far as Margao is concerned, have happened after decades together.
