PANJIM: A man was killed while his wife and daughter were injured in a road mishap at Agasaim on Sunday evening.

The police gave the name of the victim as Rajesh Naik (39) of Varunapuri, Vasco. His wife Ranjana and three-year-old daughter were seriously injured after a SUV knocked their two-wheeler. The accident occurred when Naik along with his family was returning home while the vehicle was proceeding in the opposite direction.
Both the injured have been admitted to the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC), Bambolim for treatment.
The Agasaim police later conducted the panchanama and registered a case against SUV driver Wilson De Araujo of Santa Cruz for driving the vehicle in rash and negligent manner and causing death.
PSI Hrishikesh Raikar is conducting further investigations under the guidance of Agasaim PI Anant Gaonkar.
