MARGAO: An illegal structure was razed down by Seraulim panchayat after the district court ruled in favour of the panchayat to demolish the structure.
After several villagers complained against illegal structure, the panchayat moved for removal of the structure. The matter was heard by the district court.
“Three murders had occurred in the structure and many other illegal activities were going on at that place. There was an encroachment by the owner of this structure too,” said Sarpanch Leslie Fernandes.
