PANJIM: The State yet again recorded an impressive 453 single-day recovery on Sunday while 209 have been tested positive. However, four COVID-19 patients also lost their lives in the last 24 hours.
As per the Health Bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services on Sunday, 66-year-old male from Sankhalim, with co-morbid condition died on Saturday while 51-year-old male from Siolim, 75-year-old from Margao and 42-year-old female from Ponda; all with co-morbid conditions died on Sunday.
The State also recorded 209 positive cases and 453 recoveries on Sunday. The total recoveries were 479 on Saturday.
The total tally of deaths has increased to 144 while the count of total confirmed cases stands at 13,999; active cases are 3,383 and total recovered patients count is 10,472.
A total of 276 positive persons on Sunday opted for home isolation whereas 83 suspects are in Hospital Isolation. Only one inter-state traveller opted for home isolation whereas nine are in facility quarantine.
Cases at Margao urban health centre crossed 500 with 522 active cases, highest among other health centres while Vasco UHC has 274 followed by 210 cases at Ponda primary health centre. The cases at Chimbel PHC is 167 and Porvorim PHC reported a decline at 178 cases whereas 175 cases are reported at Panjim UHC. Bicholim community health centre has the least three cases while PErnem CHC has also reported a decline in cases to 102.
The report further states that 30 persons are quarantined across various residencies/hotels and 186 reports are awaiting results.
