Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Friday announced that Goa will host the Indian Racing Festival 2026 at the Goa Street Circuit, Mopa, marking a major milestone for motorsports and sports tourism in the state.
“In collaboration with RPPL and the Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG), we are proud to bring the Indian Racing Festival 2026 to Goa. The world-class event, scheduled for February 14 and 15, 2026, will boost sports tourism, create economic opportunities and inspire the youth,” the Chief Minister said.
The high-profile racing festival is expected to attract top drivers, international teams and thousands of spectators, putting Goa on the global motorsports map. The Goa Street Circuit at Mopa, near Manohar International Airport, will serve as the venue, offering a unique urban racing experience.
The government said the event will generate significant economic activity for local businesses, hotels, transport operators and the hospitality sector, while also promoting Goa as a premier destination for international sporting events.
Officials added that the Indian Racing Festival will also provide a platform for young Indian drivers and engineers, encouraging talent development and innovation in motorsports.
