VASCO: An infant escaped unhurt, while three others were injured in a head-on collision between two vehicles at Sancoale on Monday morning. According to information given by the Verna police, the accident occurred at around 6:30 am between a private car and a taxi near Sancoale junction.

The car with a family was proceeding from Vasco to Panjim, while the taxi with four occupants was heading towards Vasco.
It is learnt that on reaching Sancoale junction, the taxi driver dozed off while driving and
lost control of the vehicle and collided against the car coming from opposite side.
Following the collision, four persons from both the vehicles were injured, while the one-year-old child escaped unhurt.
All the injured were immediately rushed to the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC), Bambolim for treatment. Verna police later conducted the panchnama and are conducting further investigations.
