MARGAO: A branch of a jackfruit tree fell on several vehicles including two cars and an electric scooter behind Maruti Temple at Rumdamol Housing Board, Margao, causing damage. According to Gil Souza, Station Fire Officer the Margao Fire Station team, led by Sub Officer N V Takkar, responded promptly to the incident. The team cleared the fallen branches, saving property worth approximately Rs 30,000, while the damages were estimated at Rs 10,000. The tree branch removal and cleanup work were completed within an hour and a half.
