Residents of Jairamnagar have voiced strong concerns over the closure of NH-566 for flyover construction, after traffic was diverted through a narrow internal road behind NSD. The diversion, they say, has created significant safety hazards, traffic congestion, and potential delays for emergency vehicles.
In a memorandum submitted to Chicalim Sarpanch Kamala Prasad Yadav, locals stressed that the internal route is ill-equipped to handle the surge in traffic. They warned that the situation could worsen if corrective measures are not taken immediately.

Sarpanch Yadav questioned the need for the project timeline to stretch to a full year due to the highway closure, asserting that the bridge construction should be completed within three to four months. Acknowledging residents’ fears about the dangers of ongoing work, he urged them not to oppose the diversion entirely but to propose workable alternatives.
Yadav suggested that restrictions on heavy vehicles could be one such solution and assured that local authorities would push the National Highways Authority and PWD to expedite the construction. He also promised to ensure that all public concerns are addressed promptly.
