MAPUSA: Residents of Karaswada on Monday gheraoed the Bardez PWD Water Section and confronted Assistant Engineer Mahesh Kenaudekar over water problems.
The residents claimed that since February they have not received water supply due to which they are facing hardship.

They also claimed that they have raised this issue several times still nothing has been done. They said that they are totally dependent on private water tankers and packaged mineral water for consumption and household use and further demanded a solution to their hardship as water is essential.
Assistant Engineer Mahesh informed the residents that water pipelines were damaged on two-three occasions. Some pipelines are under flyover so if they are damaged then there is possibility that there will be less pressure.
“The work of shifting of the water pipeline is underway. In regards with their grievances will inspect the site and try to find a temporary solution,” said Kenaudekar.
