A 57-year-old pedestrian from Karaswada has died after succumbing to injuries sustained in a road accident near the Karaswada junction underpass.
The deceased has been identified as Shyam Mayekar, a resident of Karaswada. He was critically injured after being hit by a truck near the underpass and was admitted to Asilo Hospital for treatment.

Despite medical efforts, Mayekar later succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident and are expected to take further action in accordance with the findings of the probe.
