CURCHOREM: Curchorem police registered a case against Mohammed Shaikh, 50, a native of Karnataka, for assaulting Tasman Fernandes from Khamamol, Curchorem on Sunday.
According to investigating officer PSI Vaihav Naik, the spouse of Fernandes complained that their driver Shaikh came with a sharp weapon on Sunday morning and hit her husband on his head from behind.

“Motive of assault is not known yet as the accused is absconding and Fernandes is under treatment at Goa Medical College (GMC) Bambolim,” Naik said and informed the case has been registered under Section 326 against the accused. Meanwhile, police are on the lookout for the accused.
