Labourer cuts own throat

In a shocking incident, a labourer slit his throat with a broken soft drink bottle at the Gandhi market on Wednesday evening.
Margao police said the victim was immediately rushed to Hospicio hospital, from where he was shifted to the Goa Medical College and hospital, Bambolim.
PSI Nilesh informed that the labourer, working as a khalashi in the market, was believed to be mentally disturbed before he took the drastic action.
He said the victim broke a soft drink bottle and slit his throat, in the process sustaining grievous injuries.
