MARGAO: Leslie Camilo Dourado is the new Sarpanch of the Village Panchayat of Seraulim.
In the elections held on Tuesday, Leslie was declared elected unopposed after the Presiding officer received his lone nomination paper for the vacant post.
After his election, Leslie said he would take all members into confidence while undertaking development of the village. Construction of a Panchayat Ghar, fly over, streetlights, drainage system, besides roads will be taken up during his tenure, he said.
Leslie said he would seek the help and cooperation of local Benaulim MLA Caitu Silva and GVP supremo Mickky Pacheco for the village development.
