MARGAO: Accusing the government for bulldozing with the Assolna-Cavelossim bridge inauguration, the people of Cavelossim have now resolved to inaugurate the bridge after the completion of the approach road.
Kennedy Afonso along with a group of villagers who protested over the bridge inauguration without completing the approach road, later told the media that the people will inaugurate the bridge after the approach road completion. “This BJP government has done nothing to build the bypass to the bridge on the Cavelossim side for the last two years. They have put the lives of motorists in danger by inaugurating the bridge without completing the approach road”, he said.
Another resident Viano Rodigues said the approach is full of trenches, rubbles and electric poles right in the middle. “Have you seen anywhere a bridge with an incomplete approach road”, he asked.
