Maina Curtorim Police Nab Chain-Snatcher, Recover Gold in Just 48 Hours

Maina Curtorim police cracked a chain-snatching case within 48 hours, earning the gratitude of the victim and her family. The swift action led to the arrest of the accused and recovery of the stolen ornament, which was valued at a significant sum.

The case was registered after a complaint was lodged by Maria Crasto, a resident of Raia in Salcete, who reported that her gold chain had been snatched. Acting promptly on the complaint, the Maina Curtorim Police launched an intensive investigation. Within two days, their efforts bore fruit with the arrest of one Arjun Hagali, a native of Hubali in Karnataka. The police not only apprehended the accused but also managed to recover the gold chain weighing 20 grams. The ornament, estimated at a market value of Rs 1 lakh, was handed back to its rightful owner.
