VASCO: The Mormugao Deputy Collector Mahadev Araundekar has directed the Mormugao Mamlatdar to identify all the encroachments along the road leading to Hindu crematorium at Khariwado and on the land owned by Murgao Hindu Samaj (MHS).
Following a formal complaints from Murgao Hindu Samaj (MHS) as well as Niz Goenkar Revolution Front (NGRF) over encroachments along the road leading to Hindu crematorium at Khariwado and on the land owned by MHS, the office of the mamlatdar recently started the process of identifying all such encroachments/obstructions so that action can be taken up on priority.
“I have received a memorandum from the Deputy Collector that the office bearers of Murgao Hindu Samaj have complained about encroachment on their property. We have already carried out inspection of the site and have found that certain structures have been illegally erected on the property owned by Samaj. Shortly, we will submit our report to the deputy collector,” Mormugao Mamlatdar Satish Prabhu said.
