Vasudev Narayan Gawade, a resident of Huland in Khanapur taluka, sustained serious injuries after being attacked by a bear while grazing his cattle.
He has been admitted to a hospital in Belgaum for treatment. Authorities have warned locals in the area to remain cautious, as wildlife encounters have reportedly increased in the region.
