MANDREM: A 45-year-old woman from Madhlamaj, Mandrem, died at Goa Medical College (GMC), Bambolim, after sustaining serious head injuries in a scooter accident on September 19.
The deceased has been identified as Deepali Kerkar, a resident of Madhlamaj. According to police, Kerkar was travelling as a pillion rider with her husband when she reportedly fell from the scooter near HDFC Bank, Madhlamaj, after the vehicle hit a speed breaker.

She sustained serious head injuries in the incident and was subsequently admitted to GMC Bambolim for treatment. Despite medical treatment, she succumbed to her injuries.
Police have registered a motor vehicle accident (MV accident) case and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
