Later a delegation consisting of Vijay Bhike, Sanjay Barde, Jawaharlal Shetye and Jitendra Kamat met Chief Officer Kabir Shirgaonkar and asked what action the municipality has taken on the complaint filed on the ongoing work of plots at Cunchelim ground.

Responding to the delegation’s reply, Chief Officer Kabir Shirgaonkar informed that the MMC has already issued notice to stop the work.

Chief officer also informed that provisional no objection certificate (NOC) issued to Comunidade is temporary revoked on technical grounds but if the Comunidade produces the conversion sanad then the municipality is bound to issue NOC to Comunidade to continue with the construction work. MMC has also issued show cause notice to the Comunidade asking why the provisional NOC should not be revoked within 15 days.

Satisfied with the action initiated by Chief Officer, the agitators then marched to the residence of Mapusa MLA. However, the MLA failed to meet the people. The delegation then pasted a copy of show cause notice at the compound gate and left. The locals claimed that this is the only ground left in MMC jurisdiction and the Comunidade is falsely converting the ground and making plots for the rich people to fill their pockets.
