MARGAO: Residents of Colmorod, Navelim, which is part of Ward No 20 of Margao Municipal Council are a worried lot following the death of Mathew Fernandes, husband of Sandra Joan Fernandes who was the Model Margao candidate in the ward.
Mathew reportedly died of COVID and was reportedly very active in the campaign. Even of the day of polling Mathew was present at the polling station which was the district library where even Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat went to meet him. It was kept a top secret that he was COVID positive since nobody knew about it.
