MARGAO: The Principal of Margao school, who allegedly meted harsh punishment to a 13-year-old student has been granted bail by the Goa children’s Court on Wednesday.
The principal, through his counsel had prayed that the complainant was instigated by some influential persons. Judge Vandana Tendulkar ordered the principal to submit a personal bond of Rs 25,000 and visit the police station for the next 15 days.
The principal stated that it appears that the complainant is being instigated some highly-influential persons.

It may be recalled that a criminal complaint against the Principal of the reputed school of Margao for allegedly assaulting a minor student was registered at Margao Police station during the last week of January.
The case immediately became the talk of the town in Margao. According to the complaint the student studying in the High School was allegedly harshly punished in the premises on January 27.
