Margao Railway Station Unveils 200 Sqft Digital Video Wall to Boost Passenger Convenience

Margao Railway Station has taken a significant step toward modernising passenger amenities with the launch of a state-of-the-art digital display video wall. The facility was inaugurated by Shri Santosh Kumar Jha, CMD, along with Smt. Manisha Jha, Chairperson KRWC & SSA.

Installed in the station’s circulating area, the 200-sqft high-resolution video wall will offer commuters real-time updates on train schedules, platform details, passenger alerts, safety announcements, and information about nearby attractions.

The project has been implemented by Graphon Innovative Digital Solutions, Palakkad, under a five-year contract worth ₹18,20,563, with an annual licence fee of ₹3,08,570. The agreement is valid from January 15, 2025, to January 14, 2030.

Officials said the new digital display aims to improve the overall travel experience by providing timely information and easing passenger movement within the station. The initiative is part of Konkan Railway’s ongoing push to upgrade stations with advanced, commuter-focused technology, reinforcing its commitment to safer, smoother, and more efficient rail travel.
