The annual lottery coupon opening of the Quepem Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav Mandal witnessed an overwhelming response this year, drawing massive crowds from across the region. As many as 1.5 lakh lottery coupons were printed for the event, continuing the tradition of enthusiastic public participation.
The sheer turnout led to a 2-kilometre-long queue, stretching from the Quepem Sports Complex all the way to Tilamol Junction. Despite the large gathering, the event proceeded in an orderly manner, thanks to the effective arrangements made by the Quepem Police and the Traffic Police.
