Veteran Konkani singer, musician and composer Henry D’Souza, known for evergreen songs such as ‘Ye Ye Katrina’ and ‘Ami Dogee Sezari’, passed away in Mumbai on August 14 at the age of 83. During his illustrious career, D’Souza composed and directed more than 2,000 songs and made a lasting contribution to Konkani music through his performances and work for All India Radio’s Akashvani. His passing marks the loss of a celebrated voice and an important figure in the Konkani music community.
