MARGAO: GIMACON 2019 was inaugurated by Science and Technology Minister Michael Lobo on Saturday.
The two-day conference is being held Holiday Inn Resort, Cavelossim, Goa. Around 400 doctors from all over Goa and neighbouring States are attending the conference. A series of interesting and informative lectures on the latest developments in the medical field was held at this conference to update the knowledge of all the doctors attending this conference. The speakers were experts in each of their own field from various parts of India.
On the occasion, Michael Lobo spoke about good doctor-patient relationships. He also expressed concern about the increasing incidence of lifestyle diseases and cancer in society, especially among youngsters.
He assured the gathering that a new Biomedical Waste Facility will be set up within a period of 14 to 15 months which will cater to the entire healthcare sector of Goa.
