MARGAO: The first District Level Advisory Committee of South Goa meeting on the Eat Right India Initiative of Food Safety and Standards Authority of India was held in Margao.
The meeting was chaired by Additional Collector II – Agnelo Fernandes. The demand to start the functioning of the South FDA office was placed at the meeting that also saw a presentation made by Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Food Safety Officer Richard Noronha.

GOACAN requested the FDA to coordinate with Directorate of Municipal Administration to provide the list of all street vendors authorised by the municipal councils as mandated by law.
