PANJIM: Jose Oliveira, charged with attempted murder in the Merces shoot out, on Tuesday moved the local court seeking anticipatory bail.
Oliveira is currently on the run after allegedly shooting his business rival Prasad Fadte on his left arm.
The accused and the victim, both running poultry business, had a dispute regarding a labourer, who had been switching his job between the two poultry farms.
The verbal spat between the poultry farm owners was followed by Olveira shooting Fadte on his arm.
The victim is undergoing treatment for the injury while the Old Goa Police have registered a case of attempt to murder against Oliveira.
