PONDA: Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) President Deepak Dhavalikar on Tuesday said that his party will forge pre-poll alliance with the party which is ready to leave 12 seats for them in the next Assembly elections.
The two-time MLA also announced that he will re-contest from Priol Constituency.
“We will go for alliance with those parties/groups which are ready to share 12 seats for MGP and only parties should come forward for seat-sharing talks,” Dhavalikar said adding that all four constituencies from Ponda Taluka should be given to the MGP.
Dhavalikar also hinted that his oldest regional party may prefer to go alone in the elections even as the final decision would be taken by the party’s Central Committee only when elections are formally announced by the Election Commission of India.
