PONDA: Ponda Municipal Council (PMC) monthly meeting chaired by Chairperson Shantaram Colvekar was held on Tuesday, wherein issues affecting pending development works were discussed so as to follow up and complete the projects.
Speaking to the media persons after the meeting, Colvekar said that it was decided to provide relaxation in eligibility criteria to fill up the vacant post of Superintendent at PMC office.

The Budget for expenditure on electrical maintenance including transformer, shifting of poles, streetlight etc would be increased from Rs 2 to 15 lakh.
He said since past five years lot of work including shifting of poles, maintenance of transformers were pending due to insufficient Budget and so the decision was taken to increase the Budget.
He said that the maintenance work on gardens in the PMC jurisdiction would be handed over to the Forest Department.
