Mickky told to appear in court on Jan 12

MARGAO, JAN 9 Tourism Minister, Mickky Pacheco has been summoned by Judicial Magistrate First Class, Margao in connection with the case filed by her estranged wife, Sara under the Domestic Violence Act.

Tourism Minister, Mickky Pacheco has been summoned by Judicial Magistrate First Class, Margao in connection with the case filed by her estranged wife, Sara under the Domestic Violence Act.
Mickky has been told to appear in the court of Judicial Magistrate First Class, Margao on  January 12.
The Salcete Block Development Officer, Uday Prabhudessai, who is a designated Protection Officer under the Domestic Violence Act, had on January 2, forwarded a Domestic Incident Report to the JMFC following a complaint filed by Sara against her husband.
The Tourism Minister has already stated that he is innocent on the matter and would face the proceeding in the court of law.
Sara had complained to the Protection Officer as well as the Colva police under the Domestic Violence Act that she was subjected to violence at the hands of her husband.
Mickky has denied the allegations, saying there cannot be any violence against his wife when both of them have been staying separating since the last four years.
On January 2, the Protection Officer, Uday Prabhudessai forwarded the Domestic Incident Report to the JMFC, Margao after asking the complainant to fill up the format as per the questionnaire.
The decision by the JFMC comes against the backdrop of the forgery case registered against Pacheco by the Quepem police last week, followed by the attachment of the Lancer car from Canacona on Thursday.
Sara has also lodged a fresh complaint against Mickky with the Margao police concerning property, but the matter is under investigations.
